Tikiz Shaved Ice and Ice Cream is the key to success for our large family. In 2014 we started with Tikiz Shaved Ice and Ice Cream. Tikiz has been the best decision we have made as a family to date. With 8 kids flexibility in a schedule was key and Tikiz provided the flexibility we needed with a large family.

Our schedules are go go go. We not only have 8 kids we have 8 super athletic busy kids. We have one in college competing academically and athletically on the college level. We have two high school students that both play multiple sports. We have a daughter very involved in many things. This one even plays baseball with the boys.

Not only the daily activities outside the home like school event, sports, and social events but inside the home is a busy time. Dishes, clothes, homework and cleaning all have to be done while doing all the above.

Tikiz allows us to decide when we want to work. We can decide do we want to just go for a afternoon drive and stroll the parks and neighborhoods. Or do we want to work school event from 10 to 2. Or do we want to work at all on a particular day.

Especially in the summer having the freedom to make ones own work schedule is very nice. When the kids are on summer break having the ability to plan trips and activities not on weekends makes summer activates much more enjoyable. For example no one is at the local lake on a Monday but Saturday it is packed.

Working Environment

As a parent that has working in the workforce. Many work environments are not the best. When I was 16 my first job the employees there taught me many things. Many things that my parents did not want me to participate in. They worked hard to keep me on the straight and narrow.

They wanted me to have a successful career and life. However, in my first work environment the language used daily affected my daily vocabulary. The topics of conversations were not to be repeated around your children. And many more things that had an overall negative impact on my view of things.

I knew I did not want my children to experience what I had experienced. I choose Tikiz Shaved Ice and Ice Cream to get control of the work environment. I knew the best place for my daughter was to be with me and not hit on by someone in the traditional work office.

I know I would not be able to protect them for ever. But the longer I could show them how a workplace should look the better off they would be.

It has also been a blessing to work with my children. Not as a boss but side by side. They get to see Mom and Dad working and sweating at events. It is a first hand education of what it takes to be successful.
